HEY EVERYONE, I am Katherine,, from southern China. I am a second year student who are major in Marketing. I am so glad to know you guys in learning day. When I first met you guys, I felt it will be an amazing trip I have ever had in Australia! I expect to spend two weeks with you guys and learn marketing together, it must be exciting!
I graduated from Monash College Guangzhou Campus, (I think most of you did not hear about that). It is a program Monash signed with Guangzhou Huamei English International School. I spent one year there with lots of sweet memories :)
I am not a typical Chinese girl, because I am not very shy and slient! I like speaking in front of class when any ideas come to my mind. I like talking to people, know people.Seeing is believing. I think travelling is one of the best ways to learn things. therefore, i choose MMSP as an opportunity for me to learn what marketing actually is in the real world. Although I just stayed in Australia for one year, I am really impressed by Aussie marketers, who are creative, enthusiastic and passionate. I want to learn more other than the textbook, I want to know what is happening in the real world, I want to know how marketing change organizations and how marketing change people and the world. I believe this journey will be one of unforgettable experiences in my marketing study days.
There is an old saying in China ''People are supported by the land where they live'' Therefore, rather than talking about who I am, I prefer talking the place I grown up. Guangzhou also called ''Canton'', ''Goat City'', the third biggest city in China with 1,500,000 population. Since Guangzhou successfully being the host of Asia Game 2010, it has changed a lot.
